The mission of the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run is to create an enjoyable fitness opportunity for the people of Savannah and surrounding communities. We encourage everyone to try to conquer “The South’s Toughest Bridge Run” by either walking or running in the 5K, 10K, or DOUBLE PUMP! The Talmadge Memorial Bridge spans 1.4 miles over the Savannah River peaking at 196 feet with a 5.5% grade.
The Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run is one of the fastest growing running events in the Southeast and reached a record 3,500 participants in 2007. The event has been featured by Bart Yasso of Runner’s World Magazine as the “Race of the Month” and was recently named “Best-Kept Secret” by Bart in his book, MY LIFE ON THE RUN.
The 2008 Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run will be capped at 4,000 participants, so don’t wait another minute and sign up today!

RACE INFORMATION
5K RACE:
The 5K race will start on Hutchison Island, on Wayne Shackleford Road near the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center at 8:15 a.m. and finish in the Savannah Historic District near the Civic Center (Once over the Talmadge Memorial Bridge)
10K RACE:
The 10K race will start in front of the Chatham County Court House on Montgomery Street in the Savannah Historic District at 9:00 a.m. and finish back in the Savannah Historic District near the Civic Center (Twice over the Talmadge Memorial Bridge)
DOUBLE PUMP!:
This is your chance to combine and run in both the 5K and 10K. You must be able to complete the 5K in 40 minutes or less to participate in DOUBLE PUMP! and be at the 10K starting line by 9:00 a.m. Awards will given out for your combined times of the 5K and 10K (Three times over the Talmadge Memorial Bridge)
QUARTER MILE KIDS RUN:
The ¼ Mile Kids Run begins at 8:00 a.m. near the Savannah Civic Center and finish line. There is no registration fee for the ¼ Mile Kids Run.
CRITZ BMW TEAM CHALLENGE:
Teams of 5 can compete in the Critz BMW 10K or DOUBLE PUMP! Team Challenge. The time from all five competitors will be used to award an overall team champion. For more information contact Robert Espinoza at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah.
COSTUME CONTEST:
Participants are urged to compete in the costume contest for cash prizes. Over the years we have seen many creative costumes including a Christmas tree with decorations, JCB bulldozer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Superman, Batman, and many more… What will be next?
AWARDS INFORMATION / AGE GROUP AWARDS:
5K and DOUBLE PUMP!
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age category, overall top male and female, and masters top male and female.
10K Prize Purse
The top overall male and female prize money will be $1000 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place, and $250 for 3rd place. The top master’s male and female prize money will be $400 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place.
Costume Contest
The participants who are the most creative and willing to give their all for art and running could win $400 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place.
